VuWall is the closest commercial comparison to Craft Wall on the feature axis — both target control rooms, transport hubs, and government command centres. The split is between proprietary AV-over-IP nodes and software on commodity hardware.
What VuWall does
VuWall TRx is a hybrid platform: TRx is the management/orchestration software, PAK is a dedicated decoder appliance per ~40 displays, VuStream is a per-source IP encoder. SOC 2 Type II, TAA, NDAA, ISO 9001 certified. The current TRx 3.12 release (announced at ISE 2026) adds new wall-management features. Common ownership with G&D KVM matrices makes VuWall a natural fit for broadcast galleries already standardised on G&D. Public pricing remains quote-only — the vendor routes every conversation through partners.
Where Craft Wall is different
- No proprietary nodes. Craft Wall runs the entire decode + composite + drive pipeline on the same Linux server. No PAK appliance to budget, ship, install, network into a separate VLAN, and warranty.
- No VuStream encoders. Sources connect directly via NDI, RTSP, RDP, HDMI capture — no per-source hardware between the source and the wall.
- Single-vendor support. VuWall ecosystem typically involves G&D KVM, Genetec / Milestone VMS, and the customer's network team — an issue can ping-pong across three vendors. Craft Wall keeps the decode-composite path under one support contract.

Greenfield NOC / SOC builds, RU/CIS projects, budgets where VuWall PAK + VuStream cost stack is prohibitive, or teams that prefer a single-vendor decode-composite path over multi-appliance coordination.
